Meet Megan Quackenbush, lcsw, pmh-c
I am so glad you are here.
You are stronger than you think you are.
You can have peace again.
Iām here to help you find joy and healing in motherhood.
When you become a mom, a transformation happens. Not only is your baby born into the world, but so is a new mom - you. This is a very intense and wild journey, especially because you experience new challenges accompanied by hormonal changes, physical trauma to your body from giving birth, and caring for a new life when your baby is here. There is also the process of conceiving and pregnancy that can take a toll on your body. You have been through a lot, and you are not meant to endure all of these things alone - you are meant to be cheered on, supported, and empowered to become the mom you desire to be.
Perinatal Anxiety and Mood Disorders happen to 1 in 5 women after giving birth. This includes postpartum anxiety and depression. That is why I am here to help you navigate thoughts and experiences that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself, and the best mom you can be.
My style
I believe that all moms deserve to have inner peace and confidence in who they are.
As a mom, I often ask myself, what is the purpose of carrying around all this guilt? Is it driving me to be better, or is it holding me back?
My therapeutic approach is centered on helping you release the burdens that prevent you from feeling confident and strong in your identity as a person and a mom. I strive to help you find peace, hope, and joy in motherhood by providing a space for you to process everything that comes with it. I will gently challenge you when necessary, always from a place of support and compassion.
My goal is for moms to shed the guilt and walk confidently through life, knowing that despite imperfections, you are always doing your best and are the best mom for your children.
My guiding principles
Vulnerability
Embracing vulnerability is essential to the therapeutic journey. Allow yourself the space to be open and truly feel your emotions.
Empower
We are committed to empowering you to boldly embrace your identity both as an individual and as a mother.
Strength
Moms are built on a foundation of strength. Together, we will uncover and harness the inner strength that defines your journey.
